0 project life | week 20 - 2013

Week 20 was a great one!! We are nearing the end of school and getting excited for our summer! I can't believe how quickly the month of May has gone by! Here's my week 20 spread:

I started messing around with the new A Beautiful Mess app and I love it! It's fun to add doodles and word art to my photos before uploading them to Instagram. I decided to add some of them here just the way that I created them in the app. :)

See the oval frame? Coming new to my shoppe this weekend! :)

Here's the right side:

These two photos were my absolute favorite from this week and both were just candid snapshots. The one with the yellow wall was at Ikea, I told the kids to hurry and sit on the ledge and I snapped the photo super quick. Sometimes it's best to just take a photo quick 'cause they turn out the best. I just love Bryleigh's crossed legs and her looking off the camera, smiling at her dad. :) And both boys were looking at me too...that's rare!

The second photo is from when we went to visit my grandparents, the kids' great-grandparents. They are my only set of grandparents living and the kids' only set of great-grandparents. I love them with all my heart and we don't get to see them often enough. Opa (that's what my kids call him) pulled Bryleigh aside and asked her lots of questions about school and how life is going. I pulled out my camera and couldn't believe the beautiful memory I captured until I saw it on my camera later that night. The way my grandpa is looking at her is priceless. It's such a priceless photo, it means so much to me and I hope it will to Bryleigh as she grows older. :)

We ate at Red Robin while we were in Utah, it's one of our favorites that we don't have nearby. The other photo is of both my grandparents with all three kids...a photo I'll treasure forever! (Another oval frame coming to my shoppe Friday!)

And daddy got new glasses! He looks great in them! :)

The reason we were down in Utah was for me to run a 5k with my aunt, cousin and sister. It was so much fun and I'm proud that I finished and enjoyed it! :)

0 project life | week 19 - 2013

This was a super fun spread to put together!! I just received my Planetarium kits from Studio Calico in the mail this afternoon and I wanted to play with it! Also, since it was Mothers Day, I added in cards from my Wow Mom collab and some cards from Ahoy too. It ended up being the perfect color scheme for Mothers Day, even though it was a scheme that isn't my usual color choices! :) I just love how it turned out!

Here's my left side:

Miles and his two friends "graduated" from their little preschool class we hold for them. :) It's been a fun year!

These cards are both from Stargazer by One Little Bird, I just added the arrows and doodling around the photo.

These cards are some of my very favorite photos from the whole week...both Star Wars related. :) Remember on Tommy Boy...he talks Darth Vader talk into the fan...yeah my sisters and I used to do it all the time. So I taught my children the fine art of speaking Vader into the fan. :)

Then we decided to try "vadering"...if you haven't seen it around social media, it's pretty funny. It was fun creating this card with a paper and elements from the new Planetarium kit.  :)

Here's my right side:

We went to a friends' house to roast marshmallows on Friday...it was so fun!

Here's one of my mothers day pictures:

...and the pretty flowers my husband bought me!

...more mothers day photos :)

...and even more! I wore my Lisa Leonard necklace on Sunday to church...love it!

Some funnies by my youngest, I sure love this kid and his funny sayings! :)

0 project life | week 18 - 2013

This was a fun week and color scheme together and it was all inspired by my preschooler and his outfit for school picture day. :)

Here's the left side:

About every 3 weeks it's my turn to carpool...had to capture that moment since it's been a big part of my year!

I got my hair done at the beginning of the week, you know it's always so nice to go get a fresh haircut! The 100% card is from a new pack of mine, just recolored.

The boys had fun building a fort this week, and daddy was awesome and made cookies with the kids...they loved it! :)

I took Miles' class photos this week, part of the fun of it was picking out an outfit for him to wear. This purple shirt is one of his very favorites. After taking his pictures I knew I wanted my color scheme this week to be purple and yellow! :)

Here's the right side:

The weather here has been beautiful and the kids have LOVED digging out in the dirt. It was fun to add the little wood alphabet with the geotag across both pockets. :)

And since there's been lots of digging in dirt, there's been lots of baths too!

I started going to the gym this week again...it's been good for me, but getting up at 5:20 hasn't been all that fun!

I love it when my kids and husband want to look through our family album. I love that I have this Project Life history for us to remember. So, so glad I do this.

This little card here was made by myself for May 4th...yeah, we're geeky like that. :)

I love that my boys love each other, I caught them giving each other piggy back rides. Well it was pretty much the older one giving the rides, Miles tried giving Jeremy a ride and they didn't get very far!

I tried something new with the card of my son and his homemade crown. I actually printed out the picture and bubble separately and used tape and glue to adhere. I like how it turned out, even though it's super simple! Paper and glue still make me nervous sometimes!

We finished off our week at the drive-in with some friends, it was so fun! Hope you had a great week too!

0 project life | week 17 - 2013

Week 17...coming up! I just love how this spread came together, with all the colors!

Here's my left side:

Our FHE this week was on how temples are built. After our lesson we built our own temple out of marshmallows and toothpicks. The kids LOVED it! It didn't last long though 'cause they wanted to eat it. LOL!

I added in another "currents" card. The paper I used with it is actually a 4x6 card from a new pack I have coming out for iNSD on Saturday!

The "we are family" card is from my headed that way pack.

Here's my right side:

The kids have loved jumping on the tramp this week, it's been such beautiful weather! I got some fun action shots of them jumping.

On Saturday we spent the day together as a family and since it was beautiful weather, I was itching to get out and plant some new flowers. So we picked out some new pretty flowers and got them in the ground. I love the color!!

Love this picture of Miles in the bath! Oh and the "approved" card and the arrow card are both from my new card pack coming out for the May BYOC! Heart card also from headed that way

1 project life | week 16 - 2013

Here I am with my week 16 project life spread!! This week was really hard to put together. We had so many exciting things happen through the week and I took a lot of photos. So many memorable moments this week. But I had a really hard time putting the spread together because of the colors. So many of the photos I had, I wanted to keep in color and most of the colors didn't go well together. But I managed to make it all work. Thank heavens I took that photo of the books, that photo brought all the colors together in the spread and it was easy-going from there! :)

Here's my left side:

We've been trying really hard to have Family Home Evening every Monday night. This month we've been focusing on teaching the kids about temples. I wanted to add a quote from Miles and a picture of the activity we did together. We made friendship bracelets to remind us that we want to be bonded together forever as an eternal family. :)

Miles woke up one morning and I noticed he had found some markers. He told me he wanted to be a "colorful tiger". Silly boy.

The boys ask me to have a picnic every day for lunch. I gave in today...they watched Phineas and Ferb. I watched with them...I love that show! :) Heart card (recolored) from my Wow Mom pack HERE.

I bought the kids little $1 puzzles since Miles has been loving them these days. He put it together in just a few minutes. :)

Miles loves to race cars along our kitchen floor. So when the big kids were at school today we spent about an hour racing cars!

Ray continues to try new combinations of shirts and ties for work...he mixed patterns today and I had to get a picture! :)

Here's my right side:

Jeremy lost his 5th tooth this week and now he's missing his two front teeth! I love it! :)

Bryleigh has worked so hard to reach her goal of 150 AR points and this week she did it!! I'm so proud of her hard work and the big push she's made here at the end to get her goal!

I was craving Hawaiian food this week so I made a homemade plate lunch and it tasted just like the real thing. It made me miss home! :)
